How do I order a kit? Simply click on the Order Your Kit Today button on our home page and complete the requested information. Once we receive your request, we will send an application packet to you that will contain all of the ordering information that you need.
How long does it take to get my kit? As soon as we receive your application packet (and payment) we will ship your kit within five (5) working days. It will be shipped by First Class US Mail.
What will this kit do for me? Our kits are designed to save you several thousands of dollars and give you control of the process of selling your business or buying a business.
How much do I need to know about selling or buying businesses? If you are capable of operating a small business, that will serve as the basis of your knowledge. Our kits are designed to walk you through the remaining steps of the processes.
What do I do with the kit when it arrives? The first booklet in the kit explains in detail how to use the kit. The step by step instructions in the next booklet will guide you through the rest of the process. The last booklet of the kit contains the forms that you will use.
How much time will it take to sell my business or buy a business? Most small businesses take anywhere from 150 to 400 hours of your time to sell or buy with an average of about 250 to 300 hours. Remember, the time that you spend selling or buying a business is the "sweat equity" that means money in your pocket.
How long does it take to sell a business? This really depends on a few factors (like your motivation to sell your business and market conditions). In a good economic market and with high motivation to sell, you can plan on five to seven to nine months. If you aren't seeing good activity and some offers, then there's a problem somewhere.
Why would a business not sell? From our experience, the top three reasons are (1) an over-priced business, (2) declining business revenues over the last few years and (3) low profit margins that won't support the asking price.

How do you value a business? Even though businesses are more difficult to value than houses, we have a number of valuation tools that we use. These include published valuation ratios, databases of comparables and specific industry supplied ratios that we apply to the target business that we are valuing.
